Artist's Description

This is an image of Wild Bill Hickok, with a revolver and the last card hand he held when he was shot in the back of his head during a poker game in Deadwood, South Dakota. Hickok, by tradition, would sit with his back to the wall to prevent being taken by surprise by some gunslinger. This one time he ignored his practice, and it cost him his life.
